[1] Overwhelmed = to exist in such great amounts that someone can't deal with it.

[2] To get caught up = to join others after being late.

[3] Freshman = a student who is in their first year at high school (ninth grade) or university.

[4] Standing Appointment = appointments set in advance that repeat at equal intervals

[5] To have a gift for = to have a talent in 

[6] To fall behind = to be late or slow in doing something

[7] To stick it out = to continue doing something difficult.

[8] To drop something = to quit taking 

[9] To go over = to review 

[10] There's nothing to it = there's nothing to worry about; it's easy.
